What is going on with school facility planning?

The more I read about reports and news people and groups responsible for planning school facility renovations and the costs make, the more confused they seem to be. I am more patient with volunteer committees than I am with paid or elected town employees/officials who do not seem to have a firm handle on priorities or associated costs. Before a final, accurately prepared plan is brought before voters, I suggest it be checked, rechecked and checked a third time or total confidence in any plan will not happen. If the professionals involved keep changing their positions/estimates etc. let them go and hire more qualified ones.
