Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eighteen Eastern Connecticut State University business administration students traveled to Rome and Perugia, Italy, from May 22 to June 3 to study international business. Among the students were Manchester residents Rachel Adams, who majors in Business Administration; Jessica Bell, who majors in Psychology; Nina Griffin, who majors in Pre-Early Childhood Education and Psychology; and Brandon Sylvester, who majors in Business Administration. Prior to the trip, Professor Emiliano Villanueva led the class "International Business in an International Setting," where students researched a range of topics related to business in Italy. Upon their return, students submitted in-depth, 20-page reports reflecting on their experiences in Italy. Topics spanned the geography, history and culture of Italy, as well as Italian politics, business etiquette and economic opportunities.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Mairead Scanlon of Manchester graduated from Emmanuel College on Saturday, May 11, 2019, during Emmanuel College's 97th Commencement Exercises on its campus in Boston. Scanlon received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Studies during the ceremony. Scanlon graduated magna cum laude.
