When I started blogging and participating with social media nearly 3 years ago, I had no clue, but it didn’t take me long to start figuring it out. I knew I needed to understand my audience.

I could quickly see that I started talking to prospective clients from all over the country, as the world just got a little smaller. I also could see that I needed to have visual credibility, especially when dealing with clients that I had never met before. The two venues that I decided to develop and needed to do so in a hurry was Linkedin and Google.

These days, if someone searches out my Linkedin profile, someone will see over 150 recommendations and a boat load of endorsements. There is no selling, there is credibility that is priceless, but I'm not resting, I am always looking to increase my recommendation numbers and build my lower numbers of endorsements.

When someone searches my name on Google, it says my name shows up 70,000 times. I can assure you, I am not in there 70,000 times, but that isn’t the point. When someone sees that kind of number, it gets attention and credibility.
