On July 13, I will lead my last worship service at Second Congregational UCC. I wish to take this opportunity to THANK everyone who has read this blog in the years I have been pastor here. In addition, I am really grateful to those of you who have posted your comments and engaged in discussion.
As I leave Second Church, I am even more convinced than when I came of the need for all human beings to find common ground and work together for the well being of God's creation. I also wish to encourage all Christians to work hard ECUMENICALLY, i.e. to engage in actions with others who believe in Jesus to bolster unity among those who seek to follow Him.
Manchester is most fortunate to have an incredible organization in MACC( Manchester Are Conference of Churches). Their work serving the neediest among us is amazing. I encourage all Manchester residents and members of congregations to support their wonderful work AND the CROP WALK to combat hunger each Fall!
