Woman Injured in Single-Car Crash in Manchester

A woman was injured after a car hit a tree on Sunday night on Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — A car slammed into a tree on Interstate-384 in Manchester late Sunday night in crash that sent the driver to Hartford Hospital with a serious injury, state police said.

The crash took place at 10:55 p.m. on the westbound lanes near Exit 2, according to a state police report.

The car, driven by 20-year-old Sazia Coleman, of Windsor, left the roadway for an unknown reason and hit a tree, according to a crash report.

Coleman's 2016 Honda Civic sustained heavy damage and she was taken to Hartford with what state police described as serious but not-life-threatening injuries.

The crash is still being investigated, state police said. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash can call the state police Troop H Barracks at 860-534-1000.
