The Wyvern Squash Club, West Hartford’s only public squash facility, is now accepting new members.
"Squash offers a great cardio workout in a short time, and it’s a wonderful 'new' sport for kids in our area because so few are actually playing it at this time,” said Robby Lingashi, Head Squash Professional at the Wyvern Squash Club. “Almost everyone's a beginner."
Located at Kingswood Oxford’s satellite athletic facility at 18 Highland Street, the WSC is an air-conditioned facility with four internationally certified courts, an online court-booking system, and free parking. It offers private lessons, clinics, and competitive play for children, juniors, and adults.

Lingashi, the 10-time Zambian national squash champion and longtime assistant squash pro at Hartford Golf Club, is also KO’s Head Boys’ Varsity Squash Coach.
“Robby has introduced the fantastic sport of squash to several members of my family; there is no one like him who can instill the basic skills and joy of the sport in children of all abilities,” said Stuart Carlisle of West Hartford, whose son, Stuart Carlisle, Jr. ’19 is on KO’s Varsity Squash team.
