2 Found Dead Inside Residence In Hebron Friday: State Police

State police Friday were investigating a "suspicious situation" in Hebron.

HEBRON, CT — Two people were found dead inside a 50 Main St. multi-family residence early Friday, state police said at a news conference.

At 3:30 a.m. police responded to a multi-family private residence at 50 Main St. on a call of a reported disturbance.

The tactical squad had to force their way into the dwelling, and two people were found dead. State police trooper Pedro Muniz said the circumstances are "suspicious," while adding there is "no threat to the public."

No IDs have been released. The area will remain an active crime scene throughout the day.

A section of Route 66 near the RHAM High School and middle school campus in Hebron was closed off Friday morning for heavy police activity. The State Police Major Crime's unit is at the scene.

The state Department of Transportation posted the road closure alert at 6:21 a.m.

Hebron Public Schools will have a three-hour delay. Regional School District No. 8 announced schools would be closed Friday due to the ongoing police activity.

Route 66 near Main Street was closed off for several hours Friday but has since reopened to traffic by 9:30 a.m.
