21-Year-Old Driver Cited For DUI After Car Hits Deer In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, CT β€” A car hit a deer in Mansfield last week and apparently is wasn't the animal's fault.

A 21-year-old from Portsmouth, RI, is facing a drunken driving charge after the incident. State police said he was driving along the 200 block of Hanks Hill Road at 2:51 a.m. Sunday when he hit a deer.

The driver then failed sobriety tests and was charged, state police said.
