UConn 4-H has announced UConn 4-H Giving Week, which is taking place through Oct. 12.

STORRS, CT – UConn 4-H has announced that UConn 4-H Giving Week, is taking place through Oct. 12.
Here is an overview:
This initiative aims to secure 400 donors in support of UConn 4-H youth programs through the 400 for 4-H campaign, aimed at ensuring Connecticut’s youth are beyond ready for the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow.UConn 4-H Giving Week coincides with the celebration of National 4-H Week and the start of the annual 4-H year.
UConn 4-H is a leader in empowering youth to build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills in a rapidly changing world. Rooted in research-based programs, UConn 4-H helps young people thrive while preparing them to navigate the complexities of the future.
Through hands-on learning in areas like STEM, expressive arts, and civic engagement, 4-H equips youth to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to meet the world’s challenges head-on.
“We're proud to align with the National 4-H Beyond Ready campaign,” said Amy Harder, Associate Dean of UConn Extension and UConn 4-H. “It reflects our long-standing commitment to preparing youth for whatever the future holds, empowering them to grow
into leaders who are not just ready for tomorrow—but beyond ready.”
Making a Lasting Impact with Your Support
Thanks to the generosity of donors, UConn 4-H members have engaged in a variety of life-changing programs, from national 4-H trips to Washington, D.C., and 4-H Citizenship Day at the Connecticut State Capitol, to hands-on STEM learning that—literally—sparks
creativity and innovation. Expressive Arts Day offers an outlet for artistic exploration, while donor-funded workshops led to CPR certifications for 29 volunteers, 11 youth, and 21 4-H camp staff this year—reinforcing our commitment to creating safe environments
for growth.
As part of the Beyond Ready campaign, UConn 4-H continues expanding its programs to ensure that Connecticut’s youth are more than prepared for the future. “We focus on developing skills that help youth excel in today’s world while building the foundation
for their long-term success,” Harder added.
