5k and Kids' Races for the Playground!

The Windham Athletic Club will be holding a 5k race to benefit the Mansfield Community Playground on Saturday July 12th starting at 8AM

The race will start and finish at the Mansfield Community Center and will feature a fast paced course highlighting the sites of Mansfield and UConn. Race amenities including professional timing, an on-course water stop for dehydrated runners, and race T-shirts to the first 100 registrants.

Separate events orchestrated by the Playground Committee will be held during and following the 5k at the Mansfield Community Center.

Races held specifically for kids will be held at the E.O. Smith track. The event will include a bouncy slide, track and field events, Hula Hoop and Yoga ball activities and post-race snacks among other features.  Kids will also have the option of painting a hand tile for the playground at the event.
