66-Year-Old Mugged in Mansfield

MANSFIELD, CT — State police are looking for an armed, masked bandit who mugged a 66-year-old man on Fern Road.

The incident took place on Thursday at 9:23 p.m., near Fern Road and Scottron Drive, state police said.

The man said he was approached by an armed male who was wearing a mask, state police said. He demanded money and a struggled ensued, state police said. The bandit was able to take the man's money before fleeing on foot to a waiting vehicle on Scottron Drive, state police said.

Anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area can call state police at the Troop C barracks, 860-896-3200.
