STORRS, CT — UConn’s women’s basketball team will open a two-game series against Iowa next season, with the first matchup set for Sunday, Nov. 8, according to an announcement Tuesday from the programs.
The Huskies will host Iowa in the opening game of the series, though the location has not yet been announced. UConn will then travel to Iowa City for the second game during the 2027-28 season.
The announcement adds another high-profile nonconference matchup to UConn’s future schedule. Based in Storrs, the Huskies have a 7-4 all-time record against Iowa.
The teams most recently met in the 2025 Women’s Champions Classic at Barclays Center on Dec. 20, 2025. In that game, top-ranked UConn defeated the No. 11-ranked Hawkeyes, 90-64.
