Uncooperative Driver Facing Charges After Hit-And-Run Incident In Mansfield: State Police

MANSFIELD, CT — An uncooperative driver is now facing three criminal charges out of Mansfield, state police said.

The incident took place at 8:08 p.m. Friday.

According to an arrest report, state police received calls about a hit-and-run crash along the 100 block of Storrs Road. After a description of the offending vehicle had been broadcast, a trooper encountered and stopped it on Route 89, according to an arrest report.

The driver, a 33-year-old Mansfield woman, refused to show identification after several requests and was charged with interfering, driving under the influence and evading responsibility.

The woman's vehicle initially rear-ended another on Storrs Road, but she kept traveling away from the scene, according to an arrest report.
