MANSFIELD, CT — An accused drunken driver left a trail of mayhem from Mansfield to Willimantic, state police said.
At 9:50 p.m. last Friday, the state police Troop C barracks received a 911 call regarding a gray Tesla Model 3 in Mansfield heading south on Route 32 that just ran over a stop sign, according to an arrest report.
Twelve minutes later, Willimantic police received an emergency call about a gray Tesla nearly hitting another vehicle near Cumberland farms in that town, an arrest report indicates.
State and Willimantic police then tracked down the Tesla in the owner's driveway in Windham and the 33-year-old man was charged with second-offense DUI, evading responsibility, interfering with police and a lane violation, records show.
