MANSFIELD, CT — A driver found slumped in the bushes off a busy road in Mansfield over the weekend was drunk, state police said.
At 11:50 P.M. Saturday, state police responded to what they thought was a crash on Middle turnpike.
When troopers arrived at the scene, the vehicle in question hadn't crashed, but was off the road, resting against some bushes, according to an arrest report. The driver had apparently parked there and passed out, according to an arrest report.
The man, a 20-year-old from Fairfield, was subsequently charged with a lane violation and driving under the influence, according to an arrest report.
