MANSFIELD, CT — As Connecticut students made additional gains in English and math during the 2025-26 school year, continuing a yearslong recovery from pandemic-era declines, students in Mansfield surpassed state standards, according to newly released state assessment results.

District-by-district results have been released for the Smarter Balanced English language arts and mathematics tests for students in grades 3 through 8.

The percentages show the share of tested students who met or exceeded the state's achievement standard during the 2025-26 school year.

The percentages are not average test scores or grades. For example, if a district has a math result of 65 percent, that means about 65 percent of students tested in that district met or exceeded the state's achievement standard in math.

In Mansfield, 64.8 percent of the students met or exceeded the state standards in English and 64.7 percent did so in math.
