Deer Blamed As Car Hits Stonewall, Tree In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, CT — A deer was blamed for a crash in Mansfield last week, according to a state police crash report.

The incident took place at 8:44 p.m. on Sept. 1, according to a crash report.

According to a cash report, a 20-year-old Southington man was traveling north on Hillside Circle in a 2011 Toyota Camry when a deer darted into the road. In an effort to avoid the deer, the driver swerved, but lost control and hit a stone wall, according to a crash report.

The Camry then bounced off the stone wall and continued into a tree, according to a crash report.

No injuries were reported.
