Aquarion To Conduct Infrastructure Work At Mansfield Housing Complex

MANSFIELD, CT — Aquarion Water Authority is continuing "essential" work on water infrastructure in Mansfield "to ensure continued system reliability and water quality."

On Aug. 3, Aquarion is scheduled to begin construction at its wellfield treatment facility at 32 Mary Belle Drive in the Valley View housing complex to "improve water quality." A new, prefabricated building will be added to house pH adjustment and corrosion inhibitor treatment equipment, expanding the facility’s treatment process.

The project is expected to be completed by Nov.

"We greatly appreciate residents’ patience as we complete this important project," Aquarion Manager of Project Delivery, Engineering and Planning Mike Hiltz said. "We will work closely with our customers, neighbors, contractors, and town officials to coordinate the work and minimize any disruptions during construction."

Working hours are slated for 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Portland-based Snyder Civil Construction, LLC will serve as the general contractor for the treatment project, which is expected to have little to no impact on traffic in the area.
