- The Eastern Chamber Singers at Eastern Connecticut State University is amid its spring 2019 season of performance. The Chamber Choir is a vocal ensemble comprised of 20-25 auditioned singers from departments throughout the University. Among the singers is Harold Gagne of Storrs, who majors in Theatre and English and sings Bass.
- The Concert Chorale at Eastern Connecticut State University is amid its spring 2019 season performance. The Concert Chorale is a vocal ensemble comprised of choral and orchestral masterworks. Among the students are Paula Cottle of Mansfield, who majors in General Studies and sings Soprano 1, and Harold Gagne of Storrs, who majors in Theatre and English and sings Bass.

- Noreen Halbrooks and Jack Kissane, both of Mansfield, were named to the full-time President's List at MCC for the fall 2018 semester. Part-time President's List honorees from Mansfield are Grace Blanchard, Eli Espanol, Judith Kucharski and Sena Wazer. This recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Full-time students who have completed at least 12 credits for the semester with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in the semester are eligible for this honor. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester - and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC - are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List.
- Antonio Abele, Romario Bowen and Kellie Sullivan, all of Mansfield, made the Dean's List at MCC for the fall 2018 semester. Full-time students enrolled in 12 credits or more and who have earned a GPA of 3.4 with no withdrawals or incomplete grades in that semester are eligible for the Dean’s List. Part-time students are eligible for recognition with the same criteria when they have completed 12 or more credits of work with a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher.
