Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Students in Eastern Connecticut State University's Biology Department presented their independent research projects at the 73rd Annual Eastern Colleges Science Conference on April 6 at Manhattan College in Riverdale, NY. Among the student presenters was Roshani Budhathoki of Mansfield Center, who majors in Biology. Budhathoki's presentation was titled "Characterization of white and black seed mutants in the model legume plant Medicago truncatula." Budhathoki was mentored by Dr. Vijaykumar Veerappan.

Western New England University, Springfield MA

• Ryan J. Kaeser of Storrs was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society of AACSB-accredited business schools, at a ceremony conducted by the Western New England Chapter officers. The banquet, held April 18, 2019, at the Log Cabin in Holyoke, was attended by over 100 students, guests, College of Business faculty and staff. Kaeser is majoring in Finance.
