Dailey Makes It 9-0 In Geno's Absence

WICHITA, KS – The University of Connecticut women’s basketball team improved to 9-0 with Associate head Coach Chris Dailey at the helm with a 84-47 win at Wichita State Tuesday night.

Head coach Geno Auriemma still has the stomach bug plaguing the eastern part of the state and missed his second consecutive game Tuesday.

"Based on my doctor’s recommendations, I’ve decided it’s in my best interest to stay home and fully recuperate," Auriemma said before the game. "I look forward to being back on the sideline at 100 percent this weekend."

Dailey led the team in Auriemma’s absence and entered the game at 8-0 in games when Auriemma has been unavailable.

UConn improved to 100-0 in American Conference play and 25-2 on the seeason.
