MANSFIELD, CT — State police are looking for the driver of a car that hit a cyclist in Mansfield then fled from the scene.

The incident took place at 9:47 p.m. on Oct. 30.

According to a state police crash report, a 24-year-old Willimantic man on a bicycle was crossing onto Storrs Road from the eastbound side of South Frontage Road at that time. The bike was hit from behind by a car, whose driver then theft the scene, according to a crash report.

The man was taken to Windham Hospital with minor injuries, and could not give state police a description of the hit-and-run vehicle, according to a crash report. State police said any witnesses can call then at the Troop C barracks, 860-896-3200 Ext. 8025.
