Booze Bottles, Illegal Gun Found In Car After Mansfield Crash: Warrant
A driver who left the scene of a crash in Mansfield is now facing a felony gun charge, a warrant states.

MANSFIELD, CT β A Hartford teen is facing a felony gun charge and a half-dozen charges in all related to a February rollover crash in Mansfield.
Juan Martinez Quintero, 19, was served a warrant Sunday charging him with illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, interfering with police and evading responsibility, along with seatbelt, lane and insurance violations.
The crash took place at 12:55 a.m. on South Eagleville Road near Maple Street, according to warrant. While en route to the crash after an OnStar 911 call, state police received another 911 call and heard someone in the background say, "hurry up and get out of there."

The car and phone calls were traced to Quintero, according to a warrant.
Troopers at the scene discovered a black Audi S4 on its roof on the westbound shoulder of South Eagleville Road with two empty bottle of vodka and a CO2-powered Glock 19 4.5MM BB gun that was devoid of orange markers normally used to distinguish it as a facsimile, according to a warrant.

A warrant also notes that state troopers also called the number from which the second 911 call was placed and, when it was answered, heard someone utter, "what should I say ... what should I say?" That was followed by someone questioning others about heading back to the crash scene, according to a warrant."
Quintero told state police that a deer ran into the road and he tried to avoid it, only to crash and then a "good samaritan" brought him and a friend to Windham hospital because of a knee injury to the friend, according to a warrant.
He posted a $25,000 bond and is expected in Rockville Superior Court on May 13, an arrest report shows.
