With “Summer Olympics Fever” in the air; Frog Bridge Gymnastics of Columbia CT competed in the CT Nutmeg State Games held at New Milford High School on July 23rd & 24th and came home with many gold, silver and bronze medals. FBG Coach Cleary explains “gymnasts from throughout the state compete within their level and age divisions hoping to become a Nutmeg State Champion”. In this years competition Frog Bridge team members earned a total of 60 medals!
All-Around gold medalists from Frog Bridge included Misha Rosado of Mansfield (Prep-Optional Novice Level) with a score of 36.7, Jia Gates of Mansfield (Prep-Optional Intermediate Level) with a score of 36.3, Sienna Ortiz of Chaplin (Level 4) with a score of 35.8 and Sabrina Sands of Wallingford (Level 5) with a score of 36.5.
Vault gold medalists included Brooke Cleary of Mansfield (Level 8) 8.8, Sofia Romeo of Mansfield (Level 4) 9.25, Tessa Bloomer of Windham (Prep Op Novice) 9.5, Sienna Ortiz 9.5, Jia Gates 8.7 and Misha Rosado 9.55.

Uneven Bar gold medalists included Sienna Ortiz 9.2, Sabrina Sands 9.4 and Jia Gates 9.2.
Balance Beam gold medalists included Madelyn Grube of Eastford (Level 7) 9.3, Katie Kravchuk of Mansfield (Level 6) 9.2 and Sabrina Sands 9.5.

Floor Exercise gold medalist was Jia Gates 9.4
Other Frog Bridge medalists and competitors included Cierra Leach of Mansfield (Level 5) with high scores of 9.0 vault and 9.1 bars. Brenna Lynn of Windham (Level 5) with a high score of 9.35 beam for silver, bars silver and All-Around bronze. Mary Iacampo of Willington (Level 4) with a high score of 9.1 on beam for silver, and bars bronze. Dale Beaulieu of Coventry (Prep-Optional Intermediate) with a high score of 9.0 on floor for bronze, vault and bars silver, beam and All-Around bronze. Resia Baran of Windham (Prep Optional Novice) with a high score of 9.0 on beam for silver, bars silver, floor and All-Around bronze. Julia Iacampo of Willington (Prep-Optional Novice) with a high score of 8.75 on vault for bronze, beam and floor bronze. Brooke Cleary won silver on floor and bronze on bars. Madelyn Grube won silver on vault, bars, floor and All-Around. Misha Rosado won silver on bars and beam and bronze on floor. Tessa Bloomer won beam silver and bronze on floor and All-Around. Sienna Ortiz won bronze on beam and floor. Sofia Romeo won silver on beam and All-Around and bronze on floor. Sabrina Sands won silver on floor.
Qualifying to Team Finals and representing their Region (based on their home address) were Resia Baran, Sabrina Sands, Brenna Lynn and Tessa Bloomer for the East Region. Qualifying from the North Region and earning Gold Medals for the Team Finals L-R were, Jia Gates Sofia Romeo, Julia Iacampo, Dale Beaulieu and Misha Rosado. Frog Bridge Gymnastics located in Columbia, CT is a USA Gymnastics member club with recreational through competitive level programs for ages 16 months and up. Gymnastics is considered by many the greatest cross-training sport for building strength, flexibility and coordination as well as overall athleticism and self-confidence.
