Breast Cancer Study at the University of Connecticut

Breast Cancer Study at the University of Connecticut

We are researchers at the University of Connecticut, conducting a study for breast cancer survivors in our state to learn more about their health behaviors. This study is being supported by a non-profit organization, the Connecticut Breast Health Initiative (CT BHI). Maintaining or improving health behaviors is critically important for breast cancer survivors, but our previous research showed that many do not engage in optimum health behaviors (e.g., diet, exercise, stress) to promote general wellness and prevent future health problems. We have attached a flyer regarding this research study seeking participants who are Connecticut breast cancer survivors. For more information about our research team and this study, please visit: http://breastcancerlifestylestudy.uconn.edu/

One of the aims of this research study is to understand the barriers that prevent survivors from engaging in health behaviors. Also, we investigate whether Connecticut breast cancer survivors are aware of and utilize free (or low cost) intervention program for their health.
