Loos Center for the Arts

Join us for the inaugural Layālaya Global Arts Festival – a world-premiere event uniting Grammy-winning and renowned artists from six countries on one stage. Global musicians from Argentina, China, India, Japan, Mali, and the USA will come together to co-create and debut brand-new collaborative masterpieces, showing how different worlds can harmonize when we truly listen.
This spirit of connection is elevated by riveting spotlight conversations on teamwork and peak success, featuring the president of The Juilliard School alongside the Director of Sports Performance for the championship UConn Women’s Basketball team; student performances, a group of student artists with disabilities traveling from Korea, and a poetess creating an exclusive poem for the festival. Their voices embody why this event matters, proving that true artistic expression transcends discipline, ability, language, and geography to reveal our shared humanity.

“Five male college seniors and their housemates have no purpose in their lives. They march against the staus quo and taunt the “pigs”. One feels genuine emotion at his mother’s death from cancer, one romance dies and another is aborted. Ultimately, they realize their lives are as empty as the establishment they protest so vehemently against.”

The Grammy®-nominated British vocal ensemble presents Lead Me Home, a program that journeys through the rich and varied landscape of American choral music, tracing a path through faith, folk tradition, poetry, and popular song. The program moves from the timeless devotion of Virgil Thomson’s “My Shepherd Will Supply My Need” and the spiritual “My Lord What a Morning” to the visionary sound-worlds of Caroline Shaw, Morten Lauridsen and Eric Whitacre. Alongside these sacred and contemplative works sit songs of beauty, longing, and place: Samuel Barber’s shimmering “To Be Sung on the Water,” and the timeless folk melody “Shenandoah.” The program closes with affectionate musical portraits of two iconic cities in “April in Paris” and “I Get a Kick Out of New York.”

Nafe Katter Theater

TWELFTH NIGHT

By William Shakespeare Directed by Daniela Varon

October 15 – 25, 2026 Nafe Katter Theatre

Shipwrecked and cast upon the shores of Illyria, Viola – believing her twin brother lost – disguises herself as a boy, Cesario, and enters the service of Duke Orsino. When Orsino sends Cesario as his intermediary to woo Countess Olivia, the fair lady falls for the messenger instead, and Viola finds herself entwined in a mess of mishaps, misunderstandings, and mistaken identities, where nothing is as it seems. Add a steward with delusions of grandeur, and a healthy dose of shenanigans, and the stage is set for mayhem and merriment. CRT guest artist Daniela Varon directs this classic, beloved comedy.
