In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, UConn Veterans & Military Programs and Student Health and Wellness invite the community to a powerful public screening of Beautifully Broken on Monday, October 6 at 6:00 PM at the UConn Student Union Theater.
Directed by Storrs-Mansfield resident Daniel Herzog, the documentary follows Jared Buchanan, a former Marine and the son of a police officer who died by suicide—as he turns unimaginable loss into purpose through ultra-endurance running, carrying forward his father’s final words: “Make my death an issue.”
Following the film, Daniel and Jared will host a live Q&A to share their journey and spark an important conversation about mental health, resilience, and healing.
