Take Note! A Cappella Ensemble Accepting New Singers

The acclaimed philanthropic a cappella choral ensemble Take Note!, home-based in Mansfield, CT, is comprised of select, talented, local singers from diverse backgrounds who enjoy challenging, eclectic musical styles. Artistic Director Linda Tracy (director@take-note.org) is currently auditioning new singers to join for the upcoming concert seasons.

Since the group’s inception in 2003, Take Note! has helped raise well over $400,000 to assist charitable causes throughout Eastern Connecticut by way of benefit concerts. More than 90 nonprofits have benefited from the group’s mission to help neighbors in need. Take Note! never charges for performances, and all donations collected at a concert go directly to the designated beneficiary.

Take Note! has openings for new singers in the following voice parts: Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Bass 1, and Bass 2. Potential singers must have prior choral experience, be able to read music, be able to sing independently and in tune and be able to learn music on their own outside of the two-hour weekly rehearsals, held in Mansfield Center, on Monday evenings. Auditions will be held until August 15 so new singers can learn music over the summer to be ready for the next concert to be held in October. The first rehearsal of the fall season will be at the end of August.
