This presentation will demonstrate the rope-tension field drum, which served as the ‘radio of the battlefield’ during the American Revolution, and discuss how the musical life of the colonial period reflected the melting pot of early American culture. This performance is FREE and open to the public and will be held in FAIC Rm 110.
