Case Continued for Mansfield Doctor Accused of Failing to Report a Child Sexual Assault

Ronald W. Kelly is scheduled to next appear in Rockville Superior Court in December.

The Mansfield doctor accused of failing to report a sexual assault of a child had his case continued Wednesday morning in Rockville Superior Court, a court official told Mansfield-Storrs Patch.

Ronald W. Kelly, 69, a physician at Mansfield Pediatrics and a medical advisor for local school districts, including Mansfield Public Schools and E.O. Smith Regional High School, was reportedly aware of a patient’s sexual assault, but did not report it to authorities, according to an arrest affidavit.

State law dictates that doctors are mandated reporters of such matters.
