Catalytic Converters Stolen From 2 Municipal Vans In Mansfield
The Mansfield Department of Public Works is among the latest victims of the catalytic converter theft craze, state police said.

MANSFIELD, CT — Thieves removed two catalytic converters from Mansfield Public Works Department vehicles late last week.
The crime was reported at 11:35 a.m. Friday, state police said.
State police said the converters were removed from two vans parked at the Mansfield Senior Center, 303 Maple Road. There are no surveillance cameras in that particular lot, state police said.

The converters are valued at about $1,500 each, state police said.
No witnesses have come forward, state police said. The case remained under investigation Monday.
