Circuit Problem Knocks Out Power at UConn
The problem took place in front of the Torrey Life Science Building.

STORRS, CT — What University of Connecticut officials are calling an "electrical hazardous situation" broke out in front of the Torrey Life Science Building on Campus just before 11:30 Monday morning.
UConn officials said there was some sort of circuit failure near the building that spurred a "widespread power outage."
Multiple buildings on campus were affected, UConn officials said.

The problem did not post any danger to students or employees, UConn officials said.
UConn officials said they will be posting updates to the Monday class schedule at alert.uconn.edu.

The Torrey Building is on North Eagleville Road and UConn officials are suggesting students and visitors avoid the area.
