Community Center Pool Now Open
The Mansfield facility's main pool had been closed since Wednesday, Feb. 9.

After nearly two weeks, the staff has re-opened the facility's main pool.
According to the Community Center's Facebook page, the pool was opened on Monday for aquatic fitness classes and swim teams.
At a Town Council meeting on Feb. 14, Matthew Hart reported that the pool had been "inadvertently drained" as the result of "human error," forcing the to close the pool on Feb. 9.

Hart said the pool was re-filled at a cost of about $4,000 and that center memberships will be extended for the amount of time that the pool remain[ed] unavailable.
Recent status updates on the facility's Facebook page confirmed this by stating that extensions will be "automatically implemented for all members with an active membership while the main pool was out of service."
