Dog Attacks Mansfield Animal Control Officer
A Mansfield animal control officer was taken to an area hospital after being bitten by a dog.

MANSFIELD, CT — A dog attacked an animal control officer at the Mansfield animal shelter on Friday morning, authorities said.
Authorities said an animal control officer was been taken to Hartford Hospital with injuries, but they are not life-threatening, according to authorities.
The shelter is located at 230 Clover Road. Two dogs have been quarantined after the attack, authorities said.

The animal shelter was closed for the duration of the day on Friday and an adoption event scheduled for Sunday had been called off, authorities said.
