Downtown Storrs Parking Garage To Be Closed Saturday

STORRS, CT — Maintenance work at the Downtown Storrs Parking Garage that was previously scheduled for July 12 and 13 and postponed due to inclement weather is now on tap for Saturday.

No vehicles will be allowed be in the parking garage during the work, Mansfield town officials said. The Town, its maintenance contractor and LAZ parking will not be liable for damaged sustained to cars left in the garage during the work, officials said.

Suggested parking alternatives to the garage on August 3rd are:

• The Dog Lane lot
• On-street parking in the downtown area
• The parking spaces at Town Hall adjacent to the Community Center along the E.O. Smith tennis courts and the BMX/Skate Park

The town will not conduct parking enforcement on this date, but private lot owners may still enforce their parking rules, officials said.
