Driver Escapes Injury As Car Rolls Over In Mansfield

MANSFIELD, CT — A car rolled over in Mansfield Sunday.

The crash took place at 4:31 p.m. along the 400 block of Middle Turnpike Road, state police said.

According to a crash report, state police received a report about a rollover after which the vehicle caught fire. According to a report, a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by a 19-year-old Glastonbury man was traveling east when it veered off the road to the right and began rolling.

The driver escaped injury, but was issued a verbal warning for a lane violation, state police said.

The Mansfield Fire Department responded to the scene.
