E.O. Smith Athlete Named to Walter Camp All-Connecticut Team

NEW HAVEN, CT — Ten outstanding high school football players from Hartford and Tolland counties, including one from E.O. Smith, are among the 50 athletes named to the 2017 Walter Camp Football Foundation All-Connecticut teams.

Honorees were chosen by a Walter Camp-appointed committee of 10 high school coaches, representing nine different athletic conferences.

The Walter Camp Football Foundation, named for the initial football coach at Yale University, is an all-volunteer organization founded in 1967. Among its annual events is a Breakfast of Champions, which celebrates Connecticut high school football. The All-Connecticut team will be honored at the breakfast, which is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018 at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale.
