E.O. Smith Gets Votes in Latest Girls Basketball Poll

The Panthers are holding their own thus far in the very competitive Central Connecticut Conference.

STORRS, CT — A pair of tough losses to formidable opponents last week did not prevent E.O. Smith from receiving some votes in the latest girls basketball poll of coaches and media members.

The Panthers (7-4) stayed within single digits of No. 4 RHAM, with hopes of exacting revenge in a home game against the Sachems on Feb. 8. The team travels to Hall on Tuesday night, then hosts Tolland on Friday.

Mercy (10-0) moved into sole possession of first place in this week's rankings.
