E.O. Smith Gets Votes in Preseason Softball Poll
The Panthers are seeking to improve on last season, when they advanced to the quarterfinals of the Class LL tournament.

MANSFIELD, CT — An excellent 14-5 regular season record and a trip to the Class LL quarterfinals in 2017 has the E.O. Smith High School softball team looking to improve on that standard.
The Panthers received some support from voters in preseason balloting of coaches and media members.
Defending Class M champion Seymour collected nine of 13 first-place votes to pace the initial balloting. Southington, which garnered the other four top votes, was second.
