E.O. Smith Has Champion at Indoor Track Championships
The CIAC indoor track and field championships were conducted Thursday through Saturday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.

NEW HAVEN, CT — Winning one event and placing in the top six in five others, both the boys and girls teams from Tolland High School turned in fine showings at the CIAC Class L indoor track and field championships at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.
Peter Tomanelli won the boys shot put competition with a heave of 49 feet, 2.75 inches. Other Panthers placing in the top six were:

- 2nd - Kobe Stigler, long jump
- 6th - Keegan Santasiere, 1000 meters; Gabriel Munoz, high jump (tie)
Girls
- 2nd - Haley Jaquith, pole vault
- 6th - Miranda Graves, 1000 meters

The State Open will also take place at the Floyd Little Athletic Center on Saturday, Feb. 17.
