E.O. Smith Lurking Near Softball Top 10

STORRS, CT — After winning 13 of their first 15 games this season, the E.O. Smith High School softball team just missed cracking the top 10 in the most recent poll of coaches and media members.

The Panthers have won nine of their last 10 contests, and will host RHAM Monday before traveling to Enfield Friday.

Masuk (18-0) collected 11 of 13 first-place votes to take over the top spot in the rankings. Seymour (16-1), which had been No. 1 all season, got the other two top votes to place second.
