E.O. Smith Receives Support in Latest Girls Basketball Poll

A big win over second-ranked Enfield enabled the Panthers to garner some votes in the latest weekly balloting.

STORRS, CT — For the third straight week, New London High School was the top choice among media voters in the weekly Connecticut girls basketball poll.

The Whalers received 12 of 15 first-place votes after improving to 15-0 this season.

E.O. Smith (9-5) did not crack the top 10, but received some support from voters following a big win over previously unbeaten and second-ranked Enfield.
