Ex-North Windham Man Gets 17 Years for Child Porn
Heath Trahan was sentenced Wednesday in New Haven federal court.

A former North Windham man was sentenced Wednesday to 17 years in federal prison followed by 15 years of supervised release for producing and distributing child pornography.
Heath Trahan, 39, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Janet Bond Arterton in New Haven. According to court documents and testimony, Trahan, who was arrested on Oct. 14, 2011, emailed images of child pornography to someone in New Jersey before he was arrested.
After the arrest, investigators seized several computers, computer components and a mobile phone. The phone, though forensic analysis, was found to have taken photographs of two minor children engaging in sexually explicit conduct. The computers revealed about 500 images and 60 videos of child pornography not produced by Trahan.

Trahan pleaded guilty in December of 2012 to one count of production of child pornography and one count of distribution of child pornography.
