Family Escapes Mansfield House Fire

Investigators are working to determine the cause of an early Thursday morning fire that routed a family from their Highland Road home.

The fire at 163 Highland Rd. was reported shortly after 4 a.m. when a young child awoke to the smell of fire and alerted a sibling and their parents, according to WFSB. All escaped unharmed.

Crews from four area departments worked to extinguish the blaze, according to the WFSB report that can be found here.
