First Church Mansfield Screening of "Salam Neighbor" - March 9 at 6pm
All are welcome to attend the showing of this important film about the Syrian Refugee Crisis and what we might do to address it.
Wednesday, March 9 at 6pm First Church of Christ in Mansfield, UCC, 549 Storrs Road, Mansfield Center, CT will be hosting a Potluck Dinner followed by a showing of the film “Salam Neighbor”.
Salam Neighbor is an effort to better understand refugee life, wherein two film makers spent one month last winter living alongside displaced families in the Za’atari refugee camp. As the first filmmakers ever allowed by the United Nations to be given a tent and registered inside a refugee camp, they were able to get a never before seen look into the world’s most pressing crisis. This film is a part of the Quiet Corner Refugee Resettlement Project.
