Freshman from NY to Transfer from UConn Women's Hoop Program
A New York freshman is leaving the UConn women's basketball program.
STORRS, CT - Freshman guard Andra Espinoza-Hunter has decided to transfer from the University of Connecticut women's basketball program, head coach Geno Auriemma said.
“I have enjoyed getting to know Andy and her family,” Auriemma said. “Everyone at UConn wishes Andy all the best as she continues her college career elsewhere.”
The Ossining, N.Y. native averaged 2.0 points in 7.0 minutes per game for UConn this season.
