Gas Line Hit Near UConn Dairy Bar
University of Connecticut officials had to close off the area after the incident.

STORRS, CT — The area around the UConn Dairy bar was closed off on Thursday after a contractor hit a gas line while working at the scene of a previous fire.
University of Connecticut officials said that at about 11 a.m. on Thursday, a contractor working at the site of a barn fire accidentally hit a gas line.
UConn spokeswoman Stephanie Reitz said there was never a danger to the public, but the area was closed off immediately for precautionary reasons near the Jones Building and the Dairy Bar.
