Geno Auriemma-Inspired 'Shut Up' Clothing Line Hits UConn NIL Store

STORRS, CT — A day after University of Connecticut women's head basketball coach Geno Auriemma delivered a seemingly short, but inspiring quote, merchandise has shown up immortalizing it.

"Shut Up and Win Games" hoodies and T-shirts were on the UConn NIL Store online Thursday.

Hoodies were listed at $59.99 and T-shirts at $34.99 under the NIL store's "limited releases" section.

The quote was all over social media Wednesday. Auriemma was on camera during his annual Geno For The Kids charity golf event and the discussion came up as to what type of label the 2023-24 UConn women would take on.

Auriemma paused and noted that teams often are described with adjectives like redeem and reload and even threw in "unfinished business." He finally dismissed it all and said that maybe the team should just "shut the (expletive) up and win games."
