Geno Auriemma, UConn Women's Basketball Coach, Hospitalized

Auriemma was taken to the hospital after he decided to get off a plane at Bradley International Airport Saturday.

WINDSOR LOCKS, CT - UConn head women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma was taken to the hospital Saturday morning, according to a statement released by the university.

After boarding a plane at Bradley International Airport Saturday morning, Auriemma decided to deplane because he was not feeling well, the statement said. He was brought to the hospital and is said to be resting comfortably.

Auriemma had been ill for the last several days. The university did not release any further information.

Auriemma, 62, led the Huskies to an 11th national title earlier this month but he missed the UConn victory parade that was celebrated in Hartford April 10.
