Shrek: The Musical is Coming… …and You Can Be a Part of It!
The Windham Theatre Guild is thrilled and excited to be producing Shrek: The Musical this summer and they want you to be part of the fun. The WTG Fundraising Committee is sponsoring the Shrek-a Friend fundraiser to spread the word about the show while raising money for the Guild.
The WTG has Shrek cut-outs ready to be placed on the lawn of the friend of your choice beginning on Monday, June 2nd. For just $20 you can place an order with the Windham Theatre Guild to have one of our Shreks placed on your friend’s lawn for 24 to 48 hours. They will receive a letter letting them know who was responsible for Shrek’s appearance and will have the opportunity to “Shrek you back”. If you would rather remain anonymous, we are willing to keep your secret for an extra $5.
If you would like to join in the fun and live in one of the towns listed below, you can visit www.windhamtheatreguild.org to find an order form or call us at 860-423-2245. Shreks can be placed in Andover, Ashford, Chaplin, Columbia, Coventry, Franklin, Hampton, Hebron, Lebanon, Mansfield, Scotland, Willington and Windham but not on public property or in apartment complexes or other living communities. Join the fun, Shrek-a-Friend and help support your local community theatre group and don’t miss the show on July 18, 19, 25, 26, 31, August 1 and 2 at 7:30 pm and July 20 & 27 at 2:00 pm at the Burton Leavitt Theatre.
